Locked in my room; seriously could not get out. Front desk sent facilities people and they ended up literally breaking glass in outside window to enter room (don't know what they would have done if I hadn't been on 1st floor?) and took the door off the frame. I was late for my business appointment. No offer to discount staff or upgrade of room. Will not stay there again.
Pablo on the reception desk was very helpful in relocating me to the first floor as my wife was unable to climb to our fourth floor room.
Elevator was not functional. Maid service was uneven, and some days the maid failed to replace shampoo and hand soap. Only two hangers were provided for our clothes.
Waffles for breakfast.
Front desk lady was on the phone while doing our check-in procedure which I find utmost impolite. We choose the hotel from the internet because it said there "recelntly renovated" - well, our room does not look like this. Windows, bathtub, bed and other things were almost falling apart. It was ugly to touch them. We felt cheated by the description in the internet.
It was a few blocks from the Mall and I could walk to the main tourist attractions.
It is seriously in need of updating. The lift was 'out of order', the bed head was not attached to the bed, there was a large gap between the bathtub and the wall, the basin was cracked, the floor tiles were badly laid and some were cracked.
Price and location, breakfast was added gift!
Great location close to all major attractions in dc.
There was a stale smell in the foyer
Very comfortable. Very clean. Staff were super accomodative. Allowed me to check-in 9 hours ahead of time and safely kept my luggage even after i checked out of the hotel as i wasn't leaving the city until midnight. I would recommend this hotel if all you need is a place for comfortable staying.
Internet (wifi) is iffy. Works. Doesn't work. Elevator was broken and we always had to walk up and down 4 floors.
It's located in a great place. Just a few blocks from the White House.
The rooms are small and very old. The floor was stained and the elevator was broken. The price is worth only because of the location. Don't go there if you're looking for comfort and outstanding services.
The hotel is a good value and very centrally located.
A group of kids had a room down the hall and were very noisy. I didn't get the impression that the hotel staff address the situation.
It was close to walk to the white house and also the museums. There was also great places to eat at within a 10 min walk.
Trying to get breakfast was a mission to find somewhere to sit.
I liked its proximity to the conference center. Also, the free continental breakfast in the morning was very convenient!
The wifi really only worked in the lobby and not in the rooms.
Lots of tv channels!
It was a little far from the train station and I could not eat the breakfast as I am gluten free. Fruit would be nice as an alternative to toast. Also, rooms ate quite noisy.
An inexpensive, centrally-located hotel close to public transit and Dupont Circle. Though not fancy, it was clean and the staff was helpful.
Very clean and great location to restaurants, sightseeing
Heating for room was solely through space heater which made the room too hot during night
